As promised, here’s our take on this delectable savoury Japanese street food snack. While there's numerous variations of this dish, here's our simplified version using many ingredients you can easily find in your local shop!

Ingredients
Okonomiyaki Batter
1 cup flour
1/2 tsp salt
4 eggs
1/2 cup dashi stock (we used 1 pack of the dashi stock powder)
1/2 cup cabbage - diced
2 medium carrots - diced
4-5 large prawns - cut into bite-sized pieces
2 green onions - thinly sliced
Toppings
Bonito flakes
Green onion - thinly sliced
1/2 Nori sheet - chiffonade
Okonomi sauce
Kewpie mayo
Method
In a large bowl mix flour, salt, whole eggs and dashi.
When combined, add cabbage, carrot, green onion and prawns.
To cook the pancake, generously oil a nonstick pan in medium heat and add the batter.
When the bottom is cooked (3-4 minutes) flip the pancake.
Once cooked, heavily drizzle with okonomi sauce and kewpie mayo.
Top with bonito flakes, green onions, nori and ENJOY! 😍
