Poke Bowl 🍚




Poke bowls are one of our summer staples! It’s fresh, interchangeable, easy to whip up and requires little cooking!

Ingredients
  • 2-3 Salmon darnes

  • 2 tbsp sesame oil

  • 2 tbsp garlic powder

  • Salt & pepper to taste

  • Cooked rice (or use cauliflower rice for a low-cal option)

Sauce 1 - Soy + Sesame Blend

  • 3 tbsp soy sauce

  • 2 tbsp sesame oil

  • 2 tbsp honey / brown sugar

  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder

  • 1/4 tsp ginger powder

  • Sesame seeds

Sauce 2 - Sriracha Mayo

  • 2 tbsp Sriracha

  • 2 tbsp Japanese Mayo

  • 1/2 tsp sesame oil (optional)

Toppings Ideas!

  • Crabsticks

  • Wakame salad

  • Edamame

  • Mixed salad

  • Mango

  • Avocado

  • Carrots

  • Coriander

  • Fried Shallots

  • Salad leaves of your choice


Method
  1. Season salmon with sesame oil, garlic powder and salt & pepper and fry for 3-4 mins on each side. Alternatively, if you want to eat raw salmon poke bowl, marinate sushi grade salmon with Japanese mayo, sriracha, sesame oil, salt & pepper and green onion.

  2. In a bowl, cover the base with rice, add your salmon/ chosen protein, chosen mix of toppings and drizzle with your sauce of choice!
