A winter staple in our house. This recipe is truly versatile and can easily be adjusted to suit your taste. Add veggies, various topping or even enjoy this with noodles. It's the perfect companion on a cold winter's day! 🤤🍜

Ingredients
Soup Base
5 cups chicken broth
1 tbsp soy sauce
1/2 tbsp fish sauce
1/2 tsp sugar
Thumb sized ginger - roughly sliced
3 cloves garlic, crushed
3 stalks green onions
Optional - pak choi, bean sprouts
Wontons

300g pork mince
200g chopped prawns
5 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 ginger - grated/minced
3 stalks spring onion - thinly chopped
20-25 wonton wrappers
1/4 tsp sesame oil
1/4 tsp sugar
1/2 tsp salt & pepper
Toppings
Chopped spring onion
Fried garlic
Chilli oil
Method
Add all soup ingredients in a large pot and boil for 15-30 mins to infuse broth.
While broth is simmering, evenly combine wonton ingredients in a large bowl.
To wrap wontons, fill a tsp of meat mixture into the wonton wraps, fold diagonally and seal edges with water
Once broth is infused, remove ginger, garlic cloves and green onion.
If adding veggies, blanch them in the boiling broth and set aside.
Carefully add wontons and cook for around 3-4minutes. ✨ Wontons should float when they’re cooked ✨
Serve in a large bowl, garnish with green onion, fried garlic and chilli oil!
